The Department of ‘Master of Computer Applications was established in the year 2022 and offers:

·        2 years programme with an intake of 120 students.

Programme Educational Objectives

Professionals from the MCA should :

• PEO1: Develop the ability to plan, analyze, design, implement and maintain the software products for real life applications.

  PEO2: Practice effectively as individuals and as team members in multidisciplinary projects by inculcating professional skills, ethical behavior, and leadership qualities.

  PEO3: Develop lifelong learning capabilities to set up their own enterprise in various sectors of computer applications and be able to pursue higher studies.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

Upon graduation students will be able to :

PSO1: efficiently design and develop computer-based systems in the areas related to algorithms, web design, big data analytics, database management, IOT and networking.

PSO2: apply standards practices and strategies in software project development using open-ended programming environments to provide quality solutions.

PO3: inculcate modern technologies and platforms in building innovative career paths as an entrepreneur and pursing higher studies.

Our Department has the unique distinction of being the first to get an NBA accreditation among all the VTU affiliated Colleges in Bengaluru and also, the first to introduce the 2 Years MCA programme in Karnataka.

The department provides an outstanding academic environment complemented by excellent teaching faculty and the state-of-the-art infrastructure such as multi-media Classrooms, Computer labs and a well-stocked Library. The comprehensive curriculum covers a range of topics related to computer software and its applications with added emphasis on knowledge based learning and practical exercises. 

We maintain an optimal students-to-faculty ratio to ensure that each and every student has proper faculty guidance and support. We encourage our students to be motivated and goal-orientated. We strive to instill and inculcate professional values in our students like ethical behavior, communication etiquette, time-management skills and managerial abilities which would enable them to meet the stringent challenges of the future.
