Master Of Computer Applications
The department of Computer Science was started in the year 2000. The course is a Post Graduate program in Computer Applications, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, Ministry of HRD, and recognized by the Government of Karnataka.
The department of MCA has the credential achievement of being the first MCA program under VTU to be accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi during 2009.
The department of MCA added another feather in its cap by being the first college to start 2 year MCA program under VTU, Belguam from year 2013 which includes an intake of 120.
ELIGIBILITY FOR 3 YEARS COURSE
- General Merit Candidates should have any Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks.
- SC/ST Candidates should have any Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 45% marks.
- Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Business Management/Computer Application/Computer Programming is compulsory at 10+2 or PUC or at degree level.
- Students score card of PGCET/KMAT should be submitted at the time of admission.
MCA 2 Year Lateral Entry Program
MCA Lateral is a 2 year Post Graduation program Affiliated to VTU, Belgaum and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. Students can take direct admission to 3rd Semester of 3 Year MCA Program. In third semester, core Computer Science subjects are introduced with programming practical labs. In the fourth and fifth semesters, students can select two elective papers out of five in each semester along with five core subjects and two practical labs. Sixth semester comprises of project work in the area of students’ interest on any application development as required by any internship supported organization while implementing the needs of the clients.
Eligibility for 2 Years MCA Course :
- BCA or B.Sc in computer science or information technology with Aggregate 50%.
- SC/ST Candidates with any of above mentioned degrees with relaxation as Aggregate of 45% marks.

- All 3 year marks statement of Bachelor’s degree
- Provisional degree certificate from the college last attended or degree certificate from the University
- Caste certificate (Original)
- Income certificate (Original)
- Transfer Certificate (Original)
- Migration certificate for the students coming from outside Karnataka and CBSE/ICSE Students (Original)
- Physical fitness certificate from any Regd. Medical Practitioner (Original)
- 3 Passport size and 1 stamp size colour photographs.
- Passport size parents photo 2 each.
- Further, the students so admitted in our Institution should invariably possess at least Five sets of xerox copies of all the documents mentioned above along with 10 passport and 10 stamp size colour photographs. (Three sets of Xerox copies has to be produced at the time of admission)
- The students belonging to SC/ST and other categories should submit xerox copies of caste certificate, income certificate while applying for students scholarships.
